The Colorado Rockies did the most Rockies thing yet as their best pitcher got hurt pinch running

At this point, it’s almost cliché to make fun of the terrible Colorado Rockies, but just when you think it can’t get worse, they do something like this.

Their best pitcher, Kyle Freeland, who has a five-year, $64.5 million contract, was hurt during the game on April 15, and it had nothing to do with what he’s paid to do.

Freeland was used as a pinch runner in the team’s 17th game of the season. A questionable move to begin with, way more questionable after he appeared to suffer a painful upper body injury sliding into home.

Despite what the caption in the below video says, however, Rockies manager Bud Black said after the game that somehow, Freeland is “OK”, according to ESPN.
