The Colorado Rockies are putting a sponsor on their uniforms, and it kind of makes them look like the Yankees

It’s 2025 and for the right amount of money you can put your logo on pretty much anything… Including the uniforms worn by professional baseball teams. The Colorado Rockies are getting in on that action, but I think it makes them look like another team!
Denver-based York Space Systems will sponsor a patch on the Colorado Rockies’ uniforms. York Space Systems is a defense technology company.
The jersey patch sponsorship begins Tuesday (July 1) and runs through the 2030 Major League Baseball season.
The patch, located on the left sleeve for right-handed batters, the right sleeve for left-handed batters, the throwing arm for all pitchers and the left sleeve for coaches, measures approximately 4 inches wide by 2.2 inches high, and will be on all Rockies jerseys.
I love that they got a local company for this, but because the Rockies wear pinstripes and the company’s logo features their name, “York” in bold letters, if you just glance at a player you may think they’re playing for the New York Yankees… Now if only the Rockies could start playing like the Yankees!
Here’s what they look like…
