Remember back when JCPenney stores were about as popular as Starbucks is today… Well, the times are changing and the stores are disappearing at a rapid pace!
JCPenney announced plans to close seven stores in the U.S., and the last location in the city of Denver is on the list.
The location that will close is at The Shops at Northfield, at 8568 E. 49th Ave. The retailer confirmed that it will close by Sunday (May 25).
After the closure, JCPenney will only have 11 stores left in Colorado. Those locations are in Brighton, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, Jefferson County, Lone Tree, Pueblo and Westminster.
The other six stores that are closing this week are in California, Idaho, Kansas, New Hampshire, North Carolina and West Virginia.
