The rumors were really starting to pile up this week suggesting that Rob Gronkowski was coming out of retirement to play for the Denver Broncos… I hate to burst your bubble Broncos’ fans, but it isn’t happening!
NFL reporter Cecil Lammey put it out there that retired tight end Rob Gronkowski was in the process of working out in Vail, Colorado, and contemplating a return to the NFL…with his sights set on the Denver Broncos.
It appears that Gronk got wind of that report, and he quickly shot it down. Fox NFL insider Jordan Schultz asked Gronkowski about a possible return, and the future Hall of Famer said it’s “crazy bro.” Gronk says he “wishes I still had those powers” because “it would be cool if I did. Now, it’s time to relax a little. No football.”
I mean, Gronk is 35, which is old is football terms, and hasn’t played in nearly five years, so maybe finding some young talent in the draft is better for the team anyway.
