Someone Won $1 Million Playing the Powerball in Colorado, and They Haven’t Claimed It

Jul 17, 2023, 5:41 PM

Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is going to be worth more than $900 million, but you can win a ton of money without winning the jackpot too!

A person in Parachute Colorado has won $1 million in Colorado’s PowerBall state-run lottery, on a ticket purchased at the Thunder River Market, and that’s the second time this month that a person has won $1 million in our state.

On July 8, somebody in Elizabeth, CO won $1 million from a ticket purchased at Murphy Express, a gas station.

Neither of the prizes has been claimed, a PowerBall spokeswoman said. After 180 days, unclaimed prize money is transferred into PowerBall proceeds for the state, which has happened before.

Moral of the story… Even if you don’t win the big prize, check those tickets!!
