I’ll admit I am a fast driver, and I’ve had my fair share of speeding tickets over the years, but the speed a driver in Colorado was recently caught doing is absolutely insane!
On Monday Mar. 25), a Colorado State Trooper pulled over a driver on I-25 in Monument that was going 145 mph!! The speed limit in the area is 75 mph.
The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) posted about the speeder on X and said the driver was pulled over on I-25 near milepost 161 in Monument.
According to Colorado Law, the penalties for going more than 25 mph over the speed limit include at least a $150 fine, a minimum of 10 days in jail, or both. Speeding can also be accompanied by Reckless Driving charges, depending on the severity of the offense.
