Scary Movie scares its way to #1 while Masters of The Universe flops

Scary Movie is back in the hands of the Wayans, and is back at the #1 spot in the box office!
This weekend Scary Movie returned with the best opening week for the franchise making $55 million!
It handedly beat Masters of the Universe which only made almost $30 million, but with a $170 million budget, will be considered a bomb unless it turns around.
The box office win for Scary Movie was even more impressive given that early reviews and a low 30% Rotten Tomatoes score preceded this weekend showing audiences wanted to make a decision for themselves.
