Peter Cullen, voice of Optimus Prime and Eeyore, dies at 85

The man responsible for such iconic voices as Optimus Prime and “Winnie The Pooh’s” Eeyore, Peter Cullen, has passed away at the age of 85.

Peter Cullen voiced Optimus Prime in the original “Transformers” TV show from 1984-1987, including “The Transformers: The Movie” in 1986. He also returned to voice the role 20 years later for all six of the live action films.

He voiced other recognizable voices such as Eeyore from “Winnie the Pooh,” the original KARR in “Knight Rider,” Monterey Jack in “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” and countless more.
