In Colorado, “Ralphie” usually means a 1,000-pound buffalo charging across Folsom Field. On Wednesday, Nov. 25, a different Ralphie is coming to town. Peter Billingsley, who played Ralphie Parker in the 1983 holiday classic “A Christmas Story,” will be at the PACE Center in Parker for “An Evening with Peter Billingsley and A Christmas Story.”
The night starts with a screening of the movie. Then Billingsley sits down for a moderated conversation and takes questions from the audience. It’s your chance to finally ask about the bunny suit, the leg lamp, the triple-dog dare and whether anyone actually shot their eye out. Billingsley was just a kid when he made the movie that TV networks now play on a loop every Christmas, and it’s still one of the most quoted holiday films ever.
General tickets cost $54. Superfans can add a VIP pre-show meet-and-greet for an extra $100, which includes a photo with Billingsley and an 11-by-17 poster he’ll sign. There’s a catch, though: VIP packages are limited, and sales close seven days before the show, around Wednesday, Nov. 18.
The show starts at 6:30 p.m. at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Ave. in Parker, and it’s open to all ages. Since it’s the night before Thanksgiving, it makes a good first outing if the relatives arrive early.
