Over a quarter of DIA’s flights leave late, among the worst in America

If you’ve flown out of Denver International Airport and your flight was delayed, you’re definitely not alone!
The Bureau of Transportation released a list of major airports’ on-time departure percentages, ranking 30 major airports across the United States by the most and least on-time departure performances year to date, between June 1 and June 30, 2025.
DIA was listed as one of the lowest for on-time departures over the month of June. Only 73.34 percent of flights were on time, meaning more than a quarter of all flights in Denver were delayed!
Denver ranked as the third worst airport, with the least number of on-time departures in June. Only Washington, DC, and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, had worse on-time percentages.
Salt Lake City, Utah, had the best percentage of on-time flights at 83.94 percent.
