It seems like more people are using liquid egg products as the price of eggs gets higher, because the shelves seems to be a little more bare than normal. But if you are someone who is using them, check your fridge quick!
More than 200,000 pounds of liquid egg products are being recalled because they may be contaminated with cleaning solution. The national recall was announced Friday by the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The liquid egg products were produced earlier this month by Cargill Kitchen Solutions, based in Michigan. Two of the brand names the egg product is sold under are Bob Evans and Egg Beaters.
The items were sent to distributors in Ohio and Texas and for food service use in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois and Iowa.
