Legendary Chuck Norris Passes Away at 86

Mar 20, 2026, 9:57 AM

The world lost a true icon today. Chuck Norris, the legendary martial artist, actor and pop culture phenomenon, has passed away at the age of 86.

For generations, Norris was more than just a Hollywood star; he was a symbol of strength and grit. Whether you grew up watching him in “Walker, Texas Ranger” or spent years trading “Chuck Norris Facts” with friends, his influence on entertainment and internet culture is truly immeasurable.

We saw him just days ago in a social media post on March 10 — his 86th birthday — beating up an opponent in Hawaii, declaring “I don’t age … I level up.” My heart is broken for his family.

For many of us, Norris represented a unique kind of toughness that felt both timeless and comforting. Whether it was his commitment to his faith, his support for military veterans, or the humor behind the viral “Chuck Norris Facts” that defined the early internet, he had a way of bringing people together.

Here at KOSI 101.1, our thoughts go out to his family, friends and the millions of fans worldwide who are mourning the loss of a man who seemed, to many of us, invincible.

While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the grit and humanity he brought to our screens for decades. Thank you, Chuck, for the strength, the stories, and the smiles. You will not be forgotten.
