We finally know who the Denver Broncos will start at quarterback on Sunday (Aug. 11) in their first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts!
Jarrett Stidham will start Denver’s preseason opener Sunday in Indianapolis, head coach Sean Payton confirmed after practice Friday.
But it doesn’t mean he’s won the quarterback battle by any means… “Next week it will be Nix but we’re focused on this game and that’s where we’re at,” Payton said referring to the Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix and the team’s game against Green Bay on August 18.
Sunday against Indianapolis, Stidham will play Phase 1, as Payton calls it, usually somewhere around 15-20 snaps depending on game flow, and then Nix will go second and Zach Wilson will also play third.
