If you were hoping Colorado would get it’s second Buc-ee’s convenience store, I hate to tell you, it’s likely not happening…at least not in the spot that the company really wanted it.
The developers, who were proposing to build the second Buc-ee’s travel center in Colorado in Palmer Lake, have withdrawn their application, the northern El Paso County town said in a statement Wednesday.
Monument Ridge West LLC pulled its annexation request from Palmer Lake at the corner of I-25 and County Line Road between Denver and Colorado Springs after a long political battle over the proposed store that started back in 2024.
It’s currently unclear whether the developers will pursue a new store location in the area.
