A couple of weeks ago we reported that a vending machine for ammunition would be coming to Colorado… Now we know where it’ll be.
The “sophisticated” vending machine, made by American Rounds, is a 2,000-pound automated retail machine, equipped with double steel walls, ID scanners and facial ID recognition technology, will accept credit card payments in exchange for ammunition.
There are currently six machines in service, all in Alabama and Oklahoma, but Colorado will be the next state to get one.
The Colorado machine will open at the Buena Vista location of LaGree’s Food Stores by the end of the month of July.
There is no word on plans for further expansion in Colorado at this time, but the company eventually plans to be in 40 states.
