The rumors have been swirling that Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders might leave the University of Colorado to go coach where he played much of his NFL career, with the Dallas Cowboys… But not so fast!
Many national sports reporters, namely Stephan A. Smith, have been behind the movement that it would make sense for Sanders to leave Boulder for Dallas, and maybe if the Draft plays out right, could pick his son, Shedeur, and coach him with the Cowboys too.
Sanders’ former Cowboys teammate Michael Irvin asked him about speculation he could take the Cowboys job next season during an episode of Speak.
As Irvin was about to ask the question Sanders said, “Don’t start that.” Then, after Irvin outright asked if Sanders was interested in the job, Colorado’s coach picked up his laptop and walked to the window to show this background of his office looking out onto Folsom Field while repeating, “I love it where I am.”
As a Buffs fan, I sure hope he means it!
