Jul 7, 2025, 4:17 PM | Updated: Jul 9, 2025, 3:02 pm

The horrific events that have now taken the lives of over 100 people and affected thousands of others in the Texas Hill Country are breaking our hearts, and we know so many others around Colorado would love to help any way they can.

Sadly, we live in a world where people will take advantage of these kind of things, so it’s important to make sure that if you give, you’re giving to a reputable organization that will indeed use your donation to help those in need. So, here are a few trusted places that could really use your support:

The Red Cross

The Red Cross has opened shelters and reunification centers in the area. The organization is taking donations on its website.

Kerr County Relief Fund

The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has started a Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. The fund will provide aid to vetted organizations that are providing rescue, relief and recovery operations as well as flood assistance, according to the foundation. The fund is accepting donations on its website.

GoFundMe

Crowdfunding website GoFundMe has a page for verified fundraisers connected to the flooding in Central Texas. The page will be updated as fundraisers are verified, according to GoFundMe. Be sure that if you go this route, that the fundraiser is indeed verified.

Pledge

Setup through CNN, Pledge allows you to donate to multiple verified organizations at once, or your choice of the organizations listed, all in one convenient portal. Pledge is paying the card processing fees so your donation makes a bigger impact.
