If you’ve seen the movie Snakes on a Plane, you know how terrifying it would be if a flight were overtaken by snakes, but also how unrealistic it is… Crabs on a plane, though, isn’t a movie, but instead a real thing that happened on a recent flight to Denver!
The Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance said a Halloween crab was found in the main cabin of a flight after it left Costa Rica and landed at DIA. The zoo said nobody really knows how the crab made it on the flight, but presumably, a passenger brought it aboard.
The crab will not be shipped back to its native Costa Rica, but instead will find a new home at the Denver Zoo. It will be in the Animal Ambassador demonstrations at the Gates Amphitheatre through October, then, it will have a permanent home in Tropical Discovery.
