Kit Carson County Fair and PRCA Rodeo

The Kit Carson County Fair and PRCA Rodeo in Burlington, Colorado is a weeklong celebration of western heritage, community spirit, and good old-fashioned fun. The 2025 edition runs from July 19 to July 26 and marks the 108th annual fair and rodeo.
Throughout the week, you’ll find:
- Livestock shows featuring 4-H and FFA exhibitors
- Open class exhibits showcasing local talent
- A Ranch Rodeo and Working Dog Trials
- County Events Day with free activities, music, and a BBQ
- A historic 120-year-old carousel with a Wurlitzer band organ
- A county-owned carnival with rides like the Ferris Wheel and Round Up
The PRCA Rodeo performances take place Thursday through Saturday nights, each with a special theme:
- Thursday: Tough Enough to Wear Pink – supporting breast cancer awareness
- Friday: Red, White, and Blue Night – honoring veterans and first responders
- Saturday: Followed by a concert featuring the Josh Abbott Band
