Everyone knows that eggs are as expensive as they’ve ever been, and this certainly won’t help tings in the short term in Denver…
A semi-truck carrying eggs crashed on westbound I-70 between Tower Road and Airport Boulevard in Aurora on Monday, spilling eggs all over the highway.
The crash happened at about 12:30 a.m., according to the Aurora Police Department. The truck swerved to avoid a vehicle that suddenly braked and went off the road and hit a pole on the shoulder of the highway.
Police said the truck driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
It’s unclear how many eggs were affected or where exactly they were being delivered, but if your favorite breakfast spot in Denver can’t make your omelet tomorrow, you’ll know why!
