Did Chick-fil-A change their fries in Colorado?

The old adage goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” but Chick-fil-A clearly didn’t get that memo!
There was a rumor last summer they were ditching their waffle fries completely, and switching to normal-cut fries. It wasn’t true. However, Chick-fil-A did reveal they were looking at ways to make them crispier.
It’s not clear when the new fries rolled out, they must have in Colorado and across the U.S. I know that because a ton of people online are complaining that they’re drier, grainier, and not as good as they used to be.
Chick-fil-A added a page on their website and confirmed they ARE using a new recipe. The main difference is the fries are now coated with pea starch to keep them crispier, longer. But they claim they still have the “same great taste.”
A lot of people disagree. So now everything Chick-fil-A posts on social is being flooded with comments like, “Bring back the old fries” and “Your fries are not good anymore.”
