Denver’s most famous roller coaster opens for first time this season

I took my kids to Elitch Gardens last week, and it just wasn’t the same because the iconic white wooden roller coaster was not open for rides…had we waited a week and that would’ve been different, as the the “Twister III: Storm Chaser” is back!
Elitch Gardens announced its famous wooden roller coaster reopened this past weekend, saying in part; “The ride required extended maintenance to ensure it met our highest standards for safety and performance, which took longer than we had originally anticipated. We’re excited to welcome guests back to enjoy this park favorite once again.”
The reopening of Twister III comes two months after another roller coaster, Sidewinder, a steel-looping coaster, reopened after a two-year closure.
In 2023, Elitch Gardens announced its “Twister II” wooden roller coaster would reopen as “Twister III: Storm Chaser,” after being closed for repairs, refurbishment and reimagining.
