It may seem like Denver will never get cold weather this year, and although the first freeze of the season is later than average, it’s actually not that late… October 7th is the average date of the city’s first freeze.
Next Tuesday night into Wednesday morning (Oct. 29-30) will be right about three weeks late when Denver likely see’s our first freeze of the season.
According to our partners at 9News, Denver has a high likelihood of seeing its first freeze of the season as well as a good chance at its first snow of the season. They say that the Front Range and eastern plains, including the Denver metro area, are likely to see rain initially before a possible flip to snow for Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
In other words, make sure you get your sprinkler systems blown out this weekend!
