If you’re traveling through Denver International Airport during Thanksgiving week, Godspeed. It’s going to be nuts!
The busiest day recorded at the airport so far this year was July 7 with 93,591 passengers through security. This is the busiest day on record in the history of the airport, but it could be broken next week for Thanksgiving travel.
The airport said the busiest days will be Nov. 22, Nov. 30, and Dec. 1. Over 266,000 passengers are expected to go through security on those days. The busiest day is expected to be Dec. 1 with 90,539 passengers going through security. Of course that number could go up, and set a record.
Record or not, the airport will be crazy, so here’s your reminder to get there super early, and try to be nice to your fellow travelers.
You can reserve a TSA spot up to 14 days in advance for free online through the DEN Reserve program, and you can also check real-time security wait times online.
