Denver one of the first two cities in the U.S. to get rentable ‘gliders’

May 15, 2025, 4:00 PM | Updated: May 16, 2025, 11:14 am

Rentable scooters and bicycles are all over Denver these days, but now there’s a new option for getting around…gliders!

A glider is essentially a scooter/bike hybrid, but closer to a bike. But instead of pedals, it has a throttle, and it’s smaller than the e-bikes on the streets.

Lime, the company behind many of the dockless scooters and bikes around Denver, deployed about 250 of its “LimeGliders” on Wednesday.

The Gliders made their debut in Seattle several days ago, and Denver’s fleet became just the second in America.

They’ll show up first in the central city, but riders can take them anywhere in the local service area. The vehicles will soon appear in the Lime app as a third option alongside e-bikes and scooters.
