Denver Defence struggles, as 11 game win streak is broken

Dec 21, 2025, 5:23 PM

It was a tough afternoon for Broncos Country, as Denver couldn’t slow down Jacksonville’s high-powered passing attack in a 34–20 loss at Mile High.

The Broncos entered the game with a chance to break the franchise record by winning their 12th straight, but the defense struggled to contain Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars, surrendering four red-zone touchdowns — the first time Denver has allowed that many this season.

Offensively, Bo Nix threw the ball well but spent much of the day under heavy pressure. A costly interception on a pivotal drive halted Denver’s momentum as they attempted to mount yet another late comeback.

Despite the loss, Denver remains firmly in the AFC playoff picture and now turns its attention to a massive Christmas Day showdown in Kansas City. With the Chiefs suffering another quarterback injury earlier today, the door remains open as the Broncos continue their push toward the AFC’s top seed.
