Country artists in sports and Kane Brown’s father moment | Music City Minute

There is a recurring theme in country music, especially with male artists. That is, falling back on performing when a professional sports career was dashed. Examples include Toby Keith and Chase Rice with football, Jake Owen with golf, as well as Chris Lane and Brett Young with baseball. Speaking of baseball, Morgan Wallen was extremely focused on the sport in high school. By the time he was a sophomore, he was getting noticed by college recruits. However, like many on this list, an injury ultimately sidelined those dreams. And, even though the injuries were devastating, they were also a blessing in disguise.
Kane Brown is gearing up to hit the road and he asked his daughter, Kingsley, to help him pack. The video is adorable. Miss Kingsley is in the closet, picking out outfits and socks for dad. She grabbed one shirt and Kane said,”That’s a great choice. Every time I wear it, I will think of you!” As they were wrapping up, Kingsley said, “We did it. That’s how we pack!” Maybe we’ll see one of those outfits when Kane plays Coors Field, September 6.
