Unexpected Colorado spot makes TripAdvisor’s list of top-rated attractions in the U.S.

If I told you that a Colorado spot made a list of the top rated attractions in the U.S., you could probably name ten that you’d think would be on the list…the one that actually did likely would not have been on your list, as many Coloradans don’t even know it exists.

TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things To Do just came out for 2025. They analyze reviews from users on their site to find the highest-rated attractions and experiences around the world and also specifically in the U.S. The attractions list is full of iconic landmarks and historical sites, while the best experiences include immersive and adventurous experiences.

That one Colorado spot that made the list came in at number eight. The National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs opened to the public in 2012 and documents the role that military aviation played in the emergence of our nation as a world power.
