Colorado’s Hugely Popular ‘Polar Express Train Ride’ is Back for 2023 – Here’s When Tickets Go On-Sale

Sep 11, 2023, 5:09 PM

Every year I promise my wife we will go to Golden for Colorado’s “Polar Express Train Ride,” but every year I forget to buy tickets and they sell out. So, this year I am thinking ahead a little and helping you to do the same…

The Colorado Railroad Museum is continuing its tradition of the “Polar Express Train Ride” with performances held on select dates for seven weeks beginning Friday, Nov. 10, and continuing through Saturday, Dec. 23.

Families are encouraged to wear pajamas for the train ride features a cabaret-style show, singing, hot chocolate and Santa recreating the “Polar Express” story.

Performances are about 90 minutes long and tickets run between $80 to $100. There are “fancier” train cars available for the higher prices.

Museum members will have early access to tickets starting Tuesday, Sept. 26. Tickets go on sale to the general public Tuesday, Oct. 3, at ColoradoRailroadMuseum.org
