When you do concerts outside in Colorado, you’re playing roulette with Mother Nature, and she won at Country Jam near Grand Junction last week. However, the festival is doing right by fans.
Country Jam attendees who gathered Thursday of last week, June 20, were met with rain, gusty wind and mud, and, ultimately, all of the performances getting canceled. The night’s headliner, Parker McCollum, didn’t perform because of “sustained and high wind gusts,” per the venue.
We could go around for days on whether or not Country Jam legally had to give refunds, but, regardless, they’re doing the right thing and refunding guests.
An email being sent to ticket buyers reads in part, “Due to Thursday night’s cancellation, Country Jam Colorado will be refunding you 33.3% of your order containing 3-day tickets, add-ons, camping, and parking.” You can see the whole message below.
Of course, if you bought tickets from anyone other than Country Jam’s authorized ticket provider, you may be out of luck.
