It’s not uncommon for someone to get arrested and hit with a few charges, but 15 charges in one arrest is A LOT! A woman in Colorado recently accomplished this rare feat…
Police in Mesa County arrested 24-year-old Bridgett Fawcett on Monday (Jan 27). Reports say that Fawcett had a long and rich history of evading law enforcement but was finally captured when cops pulled her over in a car without it’s headlights on.
Even though Fawcett gave a fake name and couldn’t identify who the car she was driving was registered to, police were able to figure out who she was, and hit her with an impressive 15 charges in a single arrest:
- 3 counts of vehicular eluding
- 2nd-degree burglary
- 3rd-degree motor vehicle theft
- 1st-degree criminal trespass with intent to commit a crime
- False reporting of identifying information to law enforcement officers
- Obstructing a peace officer, firefighter, or emergency personnel
- Theft of between $300 and $500
- 3 counts of reckless driving
- 3 counts of careless driving
- Two counts of speeding 40mph or more over the speed limit
- Speeding 25-39mph over the speed limit
- Driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs
- Driving under restraint
- Probation violation
When Fawcett allegedly gave her false info, she also gave the address where the car came from. The residents at that address, however, said no one gave permission to drive the car and that “it must’ve been stolen.” Cops later discovered that Fawcett allegedly entered the home, helped herself to a few items, and then drove off in the car.
