TABOR refunds, while not guaranteed ever year, are welcome when they come, and when Colorado taxpayers prepare their taxes for this year, they will be receiving a small refund for 2025.
Earlier this year it was assumed there would not be any TABOR refunds for this year, but following an audit which shows TABOR is expected to have a surplus of about $300 million, Coloradan’s will indeed be getting one.
This will result in a fairly small return compared to prior years roughly looking as follows:
- Taxpayers up to $54,000: $20 for Single Filers, $40 for joint
- $54,001-$110,000: $26 for Single Filers, $52 for joint
- $110,001-$176,000: $30 for Single Filers, $60 for joint
- $176,0001-$250,000: $36 for Single Filers, $72 for joint
- $250,0001 – $329,000: $38 for Single Filers, $76 for joint
- $329,001+ : $62 for Single Filers, $124 for joint.
