Someone in Colorado bought a ticket that won $1 million during Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased at Littleton Safeway at 12442 W. Ken Caryl Ave. There were two other winners in Colorado, though the amounts weren’t quite as high. A $20,000 ticket was sold at a convenience store powered by lotto.com, Player’s Cafe, in Edgewater, and a $10,000 ticket was sold in Longmont at a Circle K on Ute Highway.
The jackpot this time around was $1.13 billion with a cash value of $537.5 million. The winning numbers belonged to a ticket sold in Neptune Township, New Jersey, and marked the first Mega Millions jackpot winner of the year.
The winning numbers were 7, 11, 22, 29 and 38. The Mega Ball was 4 and the Megaplier was 2x.
The Littleton ticket was one of 13 sold that earned winners over $1 million each. The others were sold in Florida (two), Georgia (two), New York (two), California, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. This marked the fifth highest Mega Millions win and the eighth largest lottery in the nation’s history
The next drawing will take place Friday, March 29, at 9 p.m. MT. The jackpot will be $20 million with a $9.5 million cash option.
