Ask anyone who’s been in Colorado for any length of time where to get cinnamon rolls, and you’ll likely hear Johnson’s Corner

Johnson’s Corner opened on I-25 in Johnstown, CO in 1952 and its restaurant was well-known for those cinnamon rolls, but yesterday (Jan. 12) was the last day to get one there.

Although the restaurant is closed, there is still good news for fans of the famous pastries. Signs on the doors say the restaurant is closed, but baked goods are available in the convenience store, which will remain open.

The restaurant will undergo renovations and reopen as a Black Bear Diner, which has currently has three locations in Colorado.
