What’s better on a Saturday morning than cartoons and cereal? If you, like me, said “nothing,” then we have to get to Fort Collins for this…
A small independent theater in Fort Collins is channeling Saturday morning nostalgia with a weekly event featuring free classic cartoons and an all-you-can-eat cereal bar.
The Lyric Cinema Cafe hosts “Weekend Toons” every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to about noon at its location at 1209 N. College Ave.
The cartoons are free. The cereal bar costs $5 and includes favorites like Froot Loops and Cocoa Pebbles.
The lineup spans decades, from Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo to The Tick and Johnny Bravo.
The Lyric also offers a full brunch menu from its kitchen for those who want more than cereal, along with mimosas and Bloody Marys for adults.
The event runs through December 2026.
