Anytime I’ve been pulled over I try to play nice with the cop in hopes that maybe I’ll get out of the ticket or at least in less trouble, but different strokes for different folks I guess…
A man is facing charges in Aurora, Colorado after allegedly telling police that he wouldn’t exit a stolen vehicle until he finished his cigarette.
Officers pursued a Chevy Express van this past weekend after they tried to conduct a traffic stop. A flat tire plus a PIT maneuver eventually ended the chase. John Raspitha apparently refused to leave the vehicle, lighting a cigarette and saying he was on a smoke break they’d have to wait until he was done. A window was broken and pepper balls were deployed, leading him to finally exit the vehicle.
Raspitha was arrested on multiple charges, including suspicion of motor vehicle theft, eluding and obstruction.
