If you notice flags around Colorado flying at half-staff for what seems like quite some time, here’s why…
On Monday (Dec. 30) Colorado Governor, Jared Polis ordered all flags to fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset for 30 days to honor former President Jimmy Carter.
The 30 days started Sunday, the day Carter died at 100 years old, and will conclude on Jan. 28th.
Carter, who served as the 39th President of the United States, will be remembered at a state funeral that is set for Jan. 9.
