It’s a crazy time to be a Rockies fan right now. Not only are they playing better than they have in a long time, changes are happening with their ownership group.
According to multiple reports, Denver Broncos owners Greg and Carrie Penner are purchasing a 40% stake of the Colorado Rockies. This makes the Penners the Rockies’ largest minority partner.
As of right now, they will not have day-to-day roles or responsibilities with the Rockies. The Monfort family remains the majority and controlling owners with Dick Monfort continuing as chairman & CEO, Charlie Monfort remaining as owner/general partner and Walker Monfort leading day-to-day operations as club president, per Mike Klis of 9 News.
Carrie and Greg Penner will continue to be focused on the Broncos and nothing will change there as the franchise continues to make a Super Bowl run in the 2026 season.
