Blake Shelton is done with country music, because he’s a movie star now! Well, in his own mind. Shelton made the announcement during the 27th annual Keep Memory Alive – Power of Love Gala in Las Vegas, where he was honored for his philanthropic work. During the gala, there was an auction, and one of the items up for bid was a walk-on role in a future Mark Wahlberg movie. Blake’s bid of $40,000 won him the item. I hate to say it, but considering how much it costs to make movies these days, I don’t think $40,000 will buy him much screen time.
Scotty McCreery just put out his latest album, “Rise and Fall.” The singer said fans will hear a lot of Garth Brooks influence on the record. Scotty couldn’t help but gush about his idol, who he said has been a huge supporter of him since the beginning of his career. McCreery feels lucky that not only is the country icon a mentor, but he’s also a personal friend.
