98.5 KYGO salutes Detective Trevor Hettinger!
Trevor Hettinger has been a member of the Arvada Police Department since 2007, but his dedication to service starts long before that.
Detective Hettinger joined the Air National Guard in 1997, where he did tours in Curacao, Guam and Iraq. Today, he continues his service as part of the Air National Guard.
As a member of the Arvada Police Department, Detective Hettinger served many years as a Field Training Officer, helping new recruits to become successful police officers. He performed DUI enforcement, arresting dozens of drunk drivers and today, works as a Detective in the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
When not working on behalf of the people of Colorado, Detective Hettinger and his wife Amanda are busy raising three boys. He is an avid supporter of their participation in sports and Boy Scouts of America.
Detective Hettinger also volunteers for Honor Flight, a non-profit organization dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials of the respective war they fought in Washington, D.C. at no cost to the veterans.
