Beyond The Badge – Corporal Vern Myers

This week, we salute Corporal Vern Myers, twenty eight years with the Castle Rock PD.  For the past twelve years, Corporal Myers has been an instructor for the department’s Explorer program.  Providing young men and women with the opportunity to gain insight into law enforcement as a potential career.  Developing confidence, team building, and leadership skills.  Plus, under Corporal Myers’ leadership, Explorers have raised funds for Toys for Tots, Santa’s Second Change program, and the Flying Wheels program.  Supporting officers who have been injured or who have fallen in the line of duty.

His commitment to the Explorer program has resulted in most Explorers pursuing a career in law enforcement, college, or the military.
