Baby Jesus Returned After Brief Disappearance

Dec 20, 2024, 2:43 PM | Updated: 4:21 pm

A mystery person in Fort Collins has made Santa’s naughty list after his actions caught the attention of local police.

On Sunday, December 15, a Baby Jesus figurine was stolen from a nativity scene set up in the Old Town Square. Fort Collins Police Services alerted the public of the missing figurine on December 17 through their social media page; asking for locals to ID the Christmas culprit.

Just three days later, the Baby Jesus was found outside of the Poudre Fire Authority Station #1. An apology note was left behind with the figurine saying the theft was a stupid mistake and won’t happen again.

Thankfully, Baby Jesus has made it safely back to the manger with his parents, wise men and animals to await his birthday next week.
