A new Van Gogh immersive experience is now in Denver featuring 360-degree projections and a life-sized hologram

May 7, 2026, 4:38 PM

There have been other iterations of this experience in Denver, but many people have been waiting six years for this one to come to town!

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” the globally touring digital art exhibition that has drawn more than 7 million visitors worldwide, opened in Denver this week at Lighthouse ArtSpace Denver, bringing 360-degree projections, a virtual reality journey and a life-size hologram of the Dutch Post-Impressionist master to a city that was first teased with the concept six years ago.

The exhibition, which debuted May 8 at 3900 Elati St. in the Globeville neighborhood, transforms the venue into an immersive walk-through of Vincent van Gogh’s life and art, culminating in a room where his most iconic paintings — “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” “Bedroom in Arles” — are projected floor-to-ceiling on every surface while a musical score fills the space.

The Denver edition includes several features new to this run of the touring show:

  • The Projection Room: The signature 360-degree immersive space where van Gogh’s paintings envelop visitors from every angle, accompanied by a musical score designed to deepen the emotional experience.
  • A VR experience: A virtual reality journey into van Gogh’s world, offering a first-person perspective through his landscapes.
  • The Sunflower Room: A new addition filled with blooms and mirrors, creating an infinite visual effect inspired by the artist’s most recognized series.
  • The Letters Room: An interactive space dedicated to the extensive correspondence between Vincent and his brother Theo, which provides some of the most intimate windows into the artist’s mind.
  • A life-size hologram of van Gogh: A new interactive feature where visitors can “speak to the artist himself,” according to the exhibition’s website.
  • Interactive kiosks: Touchscreen stations that allow visitors to explore van Gogh’s techniques and biography at their own pace.

The experience takes roughly 60 to 90 minutes and includes a walk-through educational segment before the main projection room. The venue is indoors and air-conditioned. No food or beverage is available for purchase on site.

Tickets start at $28.90 for adults and $21.90 for children, with pricing varying by date and time slot. Children under 4 enter free. Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

The exhibition operates on timed entry, with sessions running from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available through the Fever platform or at vangoghexpo.com/denver.

Lighthouse ArtSpace Denver, at 3900 Elati St. (also referred to as the Exhibition Hub Art Center), is located north of downtown Denver near the National Western Center. Parking details are available on the venue’s website.
