Chris Young is playing an intimate show in Colorado this November

Country star Chris Young is heading to Colorado this November, and he’s not playing Red Rocks or Ball Arena. He’s playing Greeley — which, honestly, might be the most country thing he could possibly do.
Young announced a show at the Union Colony Civic Center in downtown Greeley for 7 p.m. Nov. 4, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. UCCC newsletter subscribers and Backstage stars can snag advance tickets starting 10 a.m. Wednesday. The venue’s Monfort Concert Hall seats 1,686 — big enough to feel like a real show, small enough that you might actually see the man’s face without binoculars.
For anyone who’s been sleeping on Chris Young — first of all, how dare you — the Murfreesboro, Tennessee, native has racked up 14 No. 1 country singles, 25 RIAA-certified projects and a 2017 induction into the Grand Ole Opry, where Brad Paisley himself did the honors. His hit list reads like a Saturday night playlist: “Gettin’ You Home,” “Tomorrow,” “I’m Comin’ Over,” “Famous Friends” with Kane Brown, “Think of You” and “Aw Naw,” among others. His latest single, “I Didn’t Come Here to Leave,” is currently climbing the charts.
The Greeley show appears to be part of a broader acoustic run Young is putting together for the holiday season. He teased an “acoustic Christmas tour” on social media Monday, writing, “Going to do another acoustic Christmas tour this year! Can’t wait to celebrate.” If that format carries into the UCCC date, Northern Colorado fans are in for a treat.
Tickets will be available at UCStars.Showare.com. And if you’re driving up from Denver, it’s about an hour on I-25 — just enough time to run through all 14 No. 1s before you get there.
