A live orchestra will perform the ‘Love Actually’ soundtrack while you watch the movie in Denver this December

It is July. It is 100 degrees. And we are here to tell you that “Love Actually” is coming to Denver in December with a live orchestra, because apparently this is the week we plan Christmas.
GEA Live, RoadCo and Fifth Season have announced that “Love Actually In Concert” — a screening of the full 2003 holiday rom-com on a giant screen while a live orchestra performs the iconic soundtrack in real time — is coming to Denver’s Buell Theatre on Monday, Dec. 15. If you’ve ever watched Hugh Grant dance through 10 Downing Street to “Jump” and thought, “This would hit different with a full string section sitting 20 feet away,” this is your moment.
The concept is exactly what it sounds like: You watch the entire movie — every storyline, every Colin Firth fumble, every Keira Knightley doorstep scene, every Alan Rickman guilt spiral — while a live orchestra plays along to the score and the film’s beloved soundtrack. It’s been selling out venues across the country and internationally, and Denver is one of a handful of U.S. cities getting a stop this holiday season.
Presale tickets start Wednesday, with general public sales opening Friday at 10 a.m. through the Denver Center for the Performing Arts or the official tour website. The Buell Theatre seats about 2,800, and given that “Love Actually” is the kind of movie that approximately 100% of Denver’s brunch-going population has seen at least four times, these are going to move.
