Denver mall is now charging for parking up front

Malls are struggling these days, and I don’t think charging people to park to go to one is a great way to get people to come.
Signs have popped up in front of some of the spots at the Denver Premium Outlets in Thornton allowing to you to park up front, but for a fee.
“Up Front Plus Parking” will allow you to park in the closest parking spots, just after the handicapped spots, after you scan a QR code and pay.
It sounds as though the price changes depending on how busy the mall is, and what kind of demand the parking spots have.
Maybe a good idea at Costco or Walmart, but only time will tell how this works at a mall.
