Like on your car, sometimes parts malfunction and need repairing. However, when it’s the engine of an airplane carrying over a hundred people it catches your eye a bit…
A United Airlines plane headed to Denver International Airport had to turn back to a Connecticut airport Thursday (June 20) after a piece of lining from an engine cover fell off during takeoff.
A United spokesperson said a portion of the Airbus A320 jetliner’s engine sound-dampening outer liner was found on the runway at Bradley International Airport near Hartford.
The Federal Aviation Administration said it would investigate the incident.
Luckily no one was hurt, but I bet those passengers are a little more nervous on the next flight they take!
