“Holidays are coming.” If you can hear the jingle just from reading those words, this one’s for you. The glowing red Coca-Cola holiday trucks from the TV commercials are making their first-ever stop at Gaylord Rockies Resort in Aurora this December. It’s the same convoy that has rolled through those ads for decades, so the holidays are literally coming to Colorado this year.
The Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan will be at Gaylord Rockies from Monday, Dec. 28, through Thursday, Dec. 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. It’s free. Families can try interactive holiday activities, sample Coca-Cola products, pick up giveaways and take photos with the trucks. The famous Coca-Cola Polar Bear will be there for pictures too.
The caravan stop is part of Gaylord Rockies’ big Christmas season, which includes ice! featuring Disney Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” That’s more than 2 million pounds of hand-carved ice, with two-story ice slides and a Nativity scene. The exhibit is kept at a chilly 9 degrees, but you get a parka at the door. The resort also offers snow tubing, the Yuletide Street Market and plenty of other festive activities through Jan. 3, 2027.
The caravan is only in town for four days, the stretch between Christmas and New Year’s when everybody’s off work, the kids are out of school and Grandma’s still in town. Pack up the family, bundle up and go see the trucks.
