National Coffee Day 2026: Every free coffee and deal you can get in Colorado on Sept. 29

Colorado, set your alarm. Tuesday, Sept. 29, is National Coffee Day, and just about every coffee chain, doughnut shop and gas station along the Front Range is giving out free or cheap coffee. Most of the best deals need the chain’s app or rewards account, so download those tonight before you’re stuck in a drive-thru line at 6:45 a.m. trying to remember a password.

We’ll start with the home team. Denver-based Ziggi’s Coffee is stretching the holiday into a full week. From Sept. 29 through Oct. 5, Ziggi’s Rewards members get a free small Daily Brew, Iced Coffee or Cold Brew with any other purchase of $2.50 or more. CEO and co-founder Brandon Knudsen put it this way: “We believe great coffee deserves more than a day in the spotlight, so we’re giving it a full week.” Colorado knows how to celebrate.

TOTALLY FREE (no purchase needed)

• Scooter’s Coffee: Free medium brewed coffee in the Scooter’s app, Sept. 27–29. Limit one per guest per day. Early birds on Tuesday also get a “Fueled by Scooter’s Coffee” sticker while supplies last.
• Pilot Flying J: Free hot coffee in any size on Sept. 29. Redeem it in the Pilot app. Great for I-25 and I-70 road-trippers.
• Circle K: Free medium hot or iced coffee for Inner Circle Rewards members in the Circle K app.
• Whataburger: Free 16-ounce hot or iced coffee on Sept. 29, ordered online or in the app. One catch: all of Colorado’s Whataburgers are in Colorado Springs, Fountain, Monument and Pueblo, so this one is for southern Colorado.
• Voodoo Doughnut: Free cup of Magic Roast coffee from 6 a.m. to noon, plus BOGO Pumpkin Spice Latte Doughnuts. It’s in-store only at the Colfax, South Broadway and Boulder shops. Limit one free coffee per guest per purchase.
• Smoothie King: Healthy Rewards members get a free 12-ounce Coffee High Protein Almond Mocha smoothie, Sept. 28–29.

FREE WITH A PURCHASE

• Dunkin’: Rewards members get a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase in the Dunkin’ app. If you’d rather stay home, DoorDash is giving a free medium Dunkin’ coffee on orders of $15 or more, while supplies last.
• Krispy Kreme: Free small or medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase. From Sept. 26–29, you can also add a dozen Original Glazed Coffee Flavored Doughnuts for $5 when you buy a regular-priced dozen (in the app, use code COFFEE). Colorado shops are in Lone Tree and Colorado Springs.
• Einstein Bros. Bagels: Free iced or hot coffee in any size and flavor with any purchase. Just say “National Coffee Day” when you order.
• Village Inn: Free cup of coffee with any entrée, dine-in only. Village Inn was born in Denver in 1958, so it’s a very Colorado way to celebrate.

• 7-Eleven: Large coffee for $1.49 for 7Rewards members, plus select mini doughnuts for $1.
• Jamba: $3 small Cloud Whip Topped Blended Coffee, in-store only, while supplies last.
• Dairy Queen: $3 small Coffee Cooler (Oreo, Salted Caramel or Toasted Marshmallow) through Nov. 1.
• Carl’s Jr.: Rewards members save 25% on drinks (coffee included), shakes and sides in the app from 2–5 p.m. and 8 p.m.–3 a.m.

• Dutch Bros: Starting at 5 a.m., buy any two drinks and get a set of two mystery straw toppers inspired by fan-favorite Dutch Bros drinks.
