Can’t score tickets to the real thing? The Colorado Avalanche are giving fans multiple ways to soak in the Western Conference Finals atmosphere without paying playoff prices, with official watch parties planned at Ball Arena and across downtown Denver for the series against the Vegas Golden Knights.
The centerpiece is Avs Alley, the outdoor fan zone at Ball Arena that returns for home games with a new addition this round: a second large-scale video screen. The setup features the live game broadcast on 20-foot video boards, DJs, food trucks, beer and hard seltzer carts, and appearances by mascot Bernie and the Avs’ Ice Patrol. Avs Alley will be open for Games 1 and 2 — and Games 5 and 7, if necessary — with $15 tickets available at AvalancheTix.com. Avs Alley opens at 4 p.m. for Game 1 on Wednesday (May 20), with puck drop set for 6 p.m.
When the Avs hit the road, the party moves inside. Ball Arena will host road game watch parties for Games 3 and 4, presented by King Soopers and Pepsi, where fans can watch on the arena’s jumbotron and enter to win player-autographed items. Tickets are $20, parking is free, and all proceeds benefit Kroenke Sports Charities.
McGregor Square in LoDo is also hosting ticketed watch parties for the series, beginning with Game 1, offering a big-screen outdoor viewing experience steps from the ballpark. Meanwhile, Tom’s Watch Bar near Coors Field has been designated the Avs’ official “Proud Watch Bar Hub” for every game of the Western Conference Finals, with a $1 first drink for fans who sign up for the bar’s Fan Club.
